You guys, wedding days go by SO QUICKLY. It’s like you blink and suddenly everyone is waving sparklers and sending the sweet couple on their way. One thing I love to do to make the most of our time with a couple on their big day AND to give them a little one-on-one time together is a mini sunset session. For a loweddings, sunset happens at some point during the reception, and it’s the perfect excuse to kidnap– I MEAN– pull the couple away for a few quick photos together. It’s likely they’ve barely had a moment to breathe since saying “I do!” and this is such a good opportunity for them to have a little quiet time to snuggle, smile, and twirl around with each other for a few moments. Plus, it gives me the chance as the photog to snag some more pretty portraits of the bride and groom (and usually the goldenhour/ sunset shots end up being some of everyone’s favorites!).
Before the big day when you’re planning out a photo timeline, suggest a quick sunset session and let them know not only will you be giving them some gorgeous photos, but you’ll also be giving them some really special time together! Brides, as you work with your photographer to prepare for your wedding photos, think about including this sweet opportunity in your day!
